Official Solution
Bring up Xbox Startup Troubleshooter (Eject + Sync + Power).
Choose "Reset this Xbox" › Keep games & apps.
If reset fails, perform Offline System Update (OSU1) via USB.
Last resort: Reset and remove everything (full factory reset).
Common Symptoms
- Console stops at green boot screen → "Something went wrong (E102 xxxx)"
- Loop between Preparing Console → E102 after system-update attempt
- Error strings such as E102 00000C01 80070003 or E102 10030C02 80070003
